Art Pharmacy worked on one of its more unusual projects this week with an activation in the middle of Martin Place, Sydney involving life-sized horse sculptures.
City workers on their lunch break were astonished to see the sculptures being painted by seven Australian artists; stopping to take photos of their favourites.
Engaged by Event Planet, the Art Pharmacy brief was to be part of the TAB’s sponsorship of the inaugural “The Everest” race meet, celebrated with a Live Site at Martin Place.
The activation was designed to raise awareness and excitement around the race to be held at Randwick Racecourse, where the artists were invited to paint their interpretation reflecting the name and racing silk colours of a horse running in The Everest. The end result was a kaleidoscope of colour, with each artist bringing their unique style to the work.
